Job Digiital Content Platform Senior Engineer Organization RWANDA EDUCATION BOARD

Job Description

-       Develop the platform with Digital Rights Management (DRM) approach for the digital textbooks and digital content to prevent unauthorized redistribution and to restrict the illegal manipulation of content;
- Design, develop, debug, and test digital platform for content management;
-       Work closely with partners and ICT in Education team to deliver high quality electronic content to schools / students;
-       Monitor and analyze how the digital platform and its applications are working so that any functionality issues can be dealt with as quickly as possible;
-       Provide platform support services, repairing system disruptions, and planning and executing various changes;
-       Responsible for the definition, design, specification implementation and operation of the IT Operations capability. This includes the IT Operations Architecture, processes, procedures, technology and organization structures;
- Oversee the Network, System and Database Engineers and ensure that all systems and infrastructure operate to agreed service levels. This includes proactive monitoring, analysis and maintenance of systems and network infrastructure.
Job Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Information Management System, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Certifications in A+, N+ is required; Certifications in CCNA, MCSE, MCSD, MCTs (NET), LAMP/WAMP Framework or MCITP are an added advantage or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Information Management System, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Key technical skills & knowledge required:
- Knowledge of Rwanda’s ICT Policies and Strategies as well as National ICT Policy;
- Deep Understanding of information technology and telecommunications;
- Capacity to research and analyse technology problems, issues, and program requirements;
- Knowledge of computer hardware/software technologies;
- Interpersonal skills;
- Communication skills;
- Negotiation skills;
- Problem
- solving skills;
- Analytical skills;
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English or French; knowledge of all these three (3) languages is an advantage.
