Job Description
1. Work within the broad remit of the IPRC Learning and Teaching Strategy to inform decision
- making about strategically positioning technology
- enhanced learning in the institution. 2. Understand the School’s strategy in regard to teaching and learning, including requirements of programs and units, guide use of technology 3. Develop and evaluate the impact of technology
- enhanced learning on the student learning experience. 4. Advise new program development teams on pedagogic value of new technologies. 5. Liaise with the Head of department in IPRC and other Faculties of the Institution to be proactive and collaborative in supporting the development of improved technology
- based learning. 6. Proactively source funding opportunities. 7. Contribute specialist e
- learning skills and knowledge to technology
- enhanced learning projects, to meet School objectives. 8.Take a lead role in School/Institution wide e
- learning projects including identifying and evaluating e
- tools, new approaches to e
- learning and emerging notions of embedding e
- learning in the academic context. 9.Attend and inform discussions at School’s E
- learning Working Group and IT Standing Committee 10. Contribute to writing technology
- enhanced learning/teaching
- related proposals for internal/external funding that are aligned with School objectives. 11. Undertake research into aspects of technology
- enhanced learning and contribute to the writing of research papers resulting from these activities. 12. Identify and promote local and national examples of enhancement innovations of relevance to the School. 13. Liaise with colleagues from the IPRC, Computing Services, Web Services, Library and other academic departments to ensure an integrated approach to the IPRC's e
- learning practice. 14. Provide one
- to
- one and group support for academics seeking to develop e
- learning approaches in teaching and to support research. 15. Design web, multimedia and print support material on aspects of e
- learning. 16. Design support for students in using e
- learning tools for effective study. 17. Develop and deliver e
- learning aspects of the College’s central staff development program (including workshops and seminars) that complement the work of the School.
Job Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Library Sciences, Information Communication Technology. Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:

- Analytical skills
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; knowledge of all is an advantage.
