Job Director of Learning Divises and Cloud Solution Technologies Unit Organization RWANDA EDUCATION BOARD

Job Description

-           Accountable to the HoD;
- General supervision of the unit;
-           Draw recurrent budget for the unit;
-         Conceptualize, develop and ensure implementation of strategies, policy guidelines and project proposals aimed at addressing Learning devices and Cloud Solution development;
-         Keep abreast of the latest development and best practices in learning devices and cloud solutions and facilitate their integration in the REB activities;
-           Supervise the day to day technical support for cloud solutions within REB;
- Supervise maintenance and management of ICT infrastructure within the Education sector particularly Internet connectivity, computer equipment and other ICT devices;
- Collaborate with REB departments, districts, school leaders and stakeholders to ensure availability of learning devices throughout the system and effective utilization of cloud solutions;
- Liaise with the National Data Center and the National Operation Center within RISA on issues related to cloud solutions for schools
Job Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Information Management System, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with 3 years of working experience and Certifications in A+, N+ is required; Certifications in CCNA, MCSE, MCSD, MCTs (NET), LAMP/WAMP Framework or MCITP are an added advantage or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Information Management System, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with 1 year of working experience in ICT. Key technical skills & knowledge required:
- Knowledge of Rwanda’s ICT Policies and Strategies as well as National ICT Policy;
- Deep Understanding of information technology and telecommunications;
- Capacity to research and analyse technology problems, issues, and program requirements;
- Knowledge of computer hardware/software technologies;
- Interpersonal skills;
- Communication skills;
- Negotiation skills;
- Problem
- solving skills;
- Analytical skills;
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English or French; knowledge of all these three (3) languages is an advantage.
