Job Insolvency Administration Specialist Organization RWANDA DEVELOPMENT BOARD

Job Description
Ensure continued monitoring and keep records of all insolvency cases commenced in the court for the Office of the Registrar General (ORG). Manage all inquiries on insolvency for the ORG. Liaise with the Compliance and Corporate Governance Unit of the ORG to identify companies that require early intervention for insolvency proceedings. Liaise with the Commercial Courts on applications made by companies for commencement of insolvency proceedings. Correspond with creditors, debtors, directors, solicitors and other professionals. Advise directors of financially distressed companies on solutions to their financial problems. Advise individuals on bankruptcy/personal insolvency matters. Provide support to the Rwanda Insolvency Administrators Board (RIAB). Liaise with insolvency administrators to ensure compliance with practice rules. Attend court hearings on insolvency cases and write reports on them. Conduct periodic capacity building of insolvency stakeholders. Prepare written reports and legislative drafts as and when required.
Job Profile
Master’s degree in law or accounting or Bachelor’s degree in these fields with 3 years’ experience dealing with all types of insolvency procedures. Experience in debt advisory work. Demonstrable ability to learn quickly. Good interpersonal communication skills. Ability to think fast and find solutions to problems. Proficiency in English, French and Kinyarwanda
