Job Description
Promote an increased awareness of Rwanda as the preferred tourism destination through tourism access points including embassies, tourism channel partners, international buyers and travel media; and local tourism stakeholders Establish, equip, operate, contract or assist in the operation of Market Based Representation (consultants/officers) in connection with tourism promotion in strategic international and regional markets Responsible for developing medium and long-term action plans for accessing embassies, international and regional channel partners, industry wholesalers and local tourism stakeholders Assist and advise local tour operators and industry players on marketing their areas/experiences in appropriate markets In conjunction with marketing firms produce and publish quality promotional collaterals to access points: promotional CDs and DVDs, videos, brochures, flyers etc on the country as an ideal tourist destination Identify, coordinate and participate in international and regional tourism trade fairs Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
Job Profile
Master’s Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Marketing, Environmental Science or First degree in related fields with 3 years of working experience Analytical skills, Leadership skills Problem-solving skills, Time management skills, Team working skills, Multi-tasking skills, Interpersonal skills, Report writing and presentation skills; Communication skills, Planning and organization skills, Creativity and innovate, Computer software skills, Knowledge of the Rwandan Tourism Industry and Knowledge in Projects.
