Job Director of Land Surveying and Mapping Unit Organization RWANDA LAND MANAGEMENT AND USE AUTHORITY

Job Description
Coordinate spatial data users on working in one geospatial reference system in which all spatial information, spatial products, land development and civil works rely for the purpose of national and global compatibility and integration; Coordinating land surveying regulations in Rwanda; • Coordinating mapping regulations in Rwanda; • Supervise the formulation and reviews of laws governing land surveying; • Coordinating the updating of survey manual; • Ensure maintenance and integrity of land tenure spatial information for all land parcels that is part of complete record of the national cadastre; • Ensure the maintenance of national photogrammetry; • Ensure maintenance of the national base map information.
Job Profile
A0 in Land Surveying, Mapping Sciences, Geomatics Engineering, Surveying and Geomatics Engineering with 3 years of Experiences or MSc in Land Surveying, Mapping Sciences, Geomatics Engineering, Surveying and Geomatics Emgineering with 1 year of Experience Key technical skills and knowledge required:
- Extensive knowledge in land surveying and mapping;
- Knowledge in land surveying and mapping;
- Knowledge in Geographic Information System (GIS) and mapping, and Remote Sensing;
- Knowledge in Land law and Tenure system;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Ability to coordinate, organize and anticipate details for special programs and events;
- Ability to coordinate and handle multiple priorities, to juggle multiple/ conflicting priorities and set priorities;
- Ability to manage multiple projects and to work under pressure;
- Effective management, organizational, budgeting and planning skills;
- Successful experience in the areas of decision making
- The ability to independently manage the details of multiple programs and projects, to track activities and to meet deadlines;
- Ability to work as a team coordinator and ability to work and make decisions with minimal supervision;
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; knowledge of all is an advantage.
